The number of homes for sale in Placer County decreased in September when compared to August, and was down even more substantially compared to September of last year.

The number of new listings that were added to to the market in September was lower than the number added in August, and was also lower than the number of listing added to the market in September of last year.

The least expensive home listed for sale in Placer County is a 1,104 square-foot bank owned home on Mount Vernon Road in Auburn, which is listed for $59,900. The most expensive home for sale in Placer County is a 3,110 square-foot home on 80 Acres on McCourtney Road in Lincoln, which is listed for $6,200,000.

As of September 28th, 2011, in addition to the homes currently listed for sale or pending sale, there are also 600 homes listed in Placer County that are short sales in contract awaiting bank approval. There were 658 of these types of short sale contingent properties listed on September 28th and 524 listed on November 29th of last year. 

The number of Placer County homes that were pending sale in September was up when compared to August, and was up even more when compared to September of last year.

Granite Bay Foreclosures Statistics Report for September 2011

The inventory of Granite Bay homes in preforeclosure, those homes that have received a notice of default, increased in September when compared to August of this year, but decreased compared to September of last year.

The inventory of Granite Bay homes that have received a notice of sale, which is the final stage before foreclosure auction, decreased in September when compared to August and decreased significantly when compared to September of last year.

The inventory of Granite Bay, California homes that have been foreclosed on and are currently owned by banks increased in September compared to August of this year and September of last year.
